About Me
Before the creation of Von's Aircraft Service LLC, I was always fascinated with aviation and aircraft maintenance for as long as I can remember. My passion started out as an FAA Certified Private pilot and Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic. I served as a Aircraft Maintenance Technician with the US Air Force Reserve and the US Naval Reserve. I eventually started working for a major airline in 1999. I retired from the US Air Force Reserve in 2012. My passion has always been Avionics, electrical system troubleshooting and learning about aircraft systems. At the beginning of 2017 I completed the certification process for a FAA Certified Limited Airframe, Limited instrument, and Limited Radio rating and was ready to begin business as Von's Aircraft Service LLC. The safety of my customer is my primary goal and I will do the job correctly or not at all.
My FAA certified repair station does Altimeter system and altitude reporting equipment tests and inspections for FAR 91.411 and ATC Transponder tests and inspections for FAR 91.413. Alongside my transponder testing, I also offer pitot-static system testing, leak check, and repair. Don't worry about the hassle of bringing your aircraft to a repair facility to get fixed when my mobile services are available for you. I am based out of Kenosha Wisconsin, but I offer my services to flight schools, businesses, and private owners of aircraft in South East Wisconsin and North East Illinois.
